The Tennessee Department of Transportation will shut down a portion of the Cookeville Courthouse square Thursday.
TDOT says crews will operate in front of Char Steak Lounge between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. along South Washington Avenue.
A press release states the closure will be for asphalt repair along the roadway. Drivers are asked to seek an alternative route during their morning commute through the area.
