Smithville Man Wanted by Franklin Police Department

The Franklin Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a Smithville man wanted for stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

Police say 18-year-old Jario Godinez was caught on surveillance video stealing nearly one dozen tennis bracelets from a salesperson. The theft occurred at Grogan Jewelers inside the CoolSprings Galleria and the jewelry is valued at $80,000.

FPD says Godinez knows that he is wanted and considers him a fugitive from justice at this time.

Anyone with information regarding Godinez’s location is urged to contact the Franklin Crime Stoppers. Police are offering a cash reward for information leading to Godinez’s arrest.
