Harley Evans, the 11-year-old victim, was found dead at the scene while her father and his girlfriend were transported to a Nashville hospital for treatment.

The female victim and an uninjured juvenile initially received help from a bus driver who drove up to the scene during his morning route.

Authorities spent most of Monday morning tracking down Snyder before he was captured by Putnam County K-9s in Clay County.
