Sunday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies responded to the Vandever Corner Market in Cumberland County, to a report of a disoriented naked woman wearing one flip flop. The woman, 29-year-old Brittany McCarty of Crossville, was in the back of an ambulance, crying, when deputies arrived. She had scratches on her feet and claimed no knowledge of how she got to the market.
When asked whether she’d been assaulted, McCarty reportedly said she didn’t think so and just wanted to go home. She said the last place she remembered being was on Netherton Lane in Crossville, but she said she does remember drinking shots of tequila.
McCarty refused EMS treatment and deputies drove her home without incident.
