A Cookeville man faces multiple charges after an altercation involving a prohibited weapon.
Authorities arrested Alan Short, 29, for aggravated assault and possession of a prohibited weapon on Saturday.
Short attempted to use his Chevrolet pickup as a weapon by hitting another vehicle. The victims had to swerve in order to avoid a collision.
In the intended victim’s vehicle was an adult female, male and two children.
Short gave permission for authorities to retrieve his phone from the Chevrolet.
According to arrest warrants, officers found a set of brass knuckles in the front passenger seat.
Authorities booked Short into the Putnam County Jail under a 26 thousand dollar bond. Short has since been released.
