The town of Baxter continues to stay busy with a number of residential development projects.
Baxter Mayor John Martin said crews have started constructing a number of townhouses off 6th Avenue.
“We are going to have 21 total. They are doing seven now and they will be done in three phases,” Martin said. “They’ve already got the brick on the seven under construction now and they are going along really well at this time.”
Martin said four homes are also being built off 1st Avenue North on Rachelle Place. In addition, town officials have approved a 22 lot subdivision that will be attached to Rachelle Place. Construction on those homes will begin in the near future.
The J. Cumby project will bring 360 apartments plus retail stores once completed. That project will be on 13 acres along Highway 70 near the High 56 intersection. Plans for the project are still being finalized.
