Interstate 40 will be down to one lane this weekend due to construction of a truck climbing lane in Smith County.
The lane closure begins Friday at 8 p.m. and will end Monday at 6 a.m.
Paving, milling, and bridge work will take place during this time between eastbound mile markers 250 and 253. Tennessee Department of Transportation officials said drivers should expect delays.
