Know an exceptional teacher? In appreciation of local teachers, Cookeville Chik-fil-A will honor one educator with their Teacher Appreciation Wish List Giveaway.
From March through April, Chik-fil-A will use a percentage of catering sales toward purchasing a teacher’s wish list. Megan Bottoms directs catering at Chik-fil-A.
“We are hoping to surprise and delight and maybe go Facebook live with a teacher that we award. We have asked them to create a wish list on Amazon.” Bottoms said, “What we are going to do with the award money is go purchase what they need for their classroom off of their Amazon wish list and bring that to them and surprise them.”
Chik-fil-A encourages the public to nominate the most impactful teachers in their lives, Bottoms said. Teachers may apply also.
“When a teacher is nominated, we are reaching out to that teacher saying, ‘Hey, congratulations. You have been nominated for this award. If you don’t already have an Amazon wish list, we’d like for you to create one, so if you are our chosen winner, we have a way to pick what you need for your classroom,'” Bottom said.
Nominations end March 31. To apply or nominate email marketing@cfacookeville.com. In April, a Facebook poll will determine the winner, Bottoms said.
