Tennessee Department of Transportation crews have closed Fentress County’s State Route 85 due to a pavement failure at mile marker 6.8.
Spokesperson Jennifer Flynn said the roadway will be closed between mile markers 2 and 8 until crews can make repairs.
Part of the outside lane has failed because of recent rains. Flynn said the closure will last several days and there’s no estimated reopening date.
