Armed with a pistol, a masked man robbed the owners of a convenient store in Crossville Tuesday night.
Police said it happened just before midnight at the Short Stop Market on Old Lantana Road.
According to police, the owners had just closed the store when the unidentified suspect came from around the building and approached the victims with a handgun. After demanding money and threatening to shoot, the victims handed over nearly $1,200 cash and the suspect fled the scene.
Police conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but never located the man. Authorities said the investigation continues.
