You may have noticed some brine trucks on Cookeville’s Willow Avenue and Parts of Interstate 40 today.
TDOT Spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn said the department has decided to brine all nine Upper Cumberland counties in District 27 due to possible snow showers expected early Tuesday morning.
“Forecasts have possible snow showers for early tomorrow morning mainly from Monterey then north and east, but District 27 decided to brine all their counties just to be on the safe side,” Flynn said.
District 27 includes Putnam, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Overton, Pickett and White counties.
Flynn said District 28 is brining in Cannon, Warren, Van Buren, Sequatchie and Bledsoe counties.
