A two vehicle crash in Pickett County Tuesday claimed the life of a Fentress County man.
The crash happened on Highway 127 near Chanute Road. Authorities have identified the deceased as 71-year-old Gary Rains of Pall Mall.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident happened when Rains attempted to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line, striking another vehicle head on.
Authorities pronounced Rains dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
