An 85-year-old Crossville man has died after being struck by a semi truck on Main Street this morning.
Officials at the Crossville Police Department have identified the deceased identified as 85-year-old Vertie McNeeley.
Authorities said McNeeley suffered critical injuries when he stepped into traffic around the front passenger corner of the semi truck. The truck then hit and ran over McNeeley.
He later passed away at Cumberland Medical Center, according to the Crossville Police Department.
Officials said the investigation continues, but no criminal charges are expected.
