DeKalb County authorities have arrested a man for allegedly setting fire to his home in Alexandria Wednesday night.
45-year-old Jason Bryan Hale faces charges of arson, assaulting an officer, and resisting arrest.
Officials said crews responded to a house fire at Lower Helton Road and found Hale standing outside the residence. Hale allegedly struck an officer who attempted to move him to safety and refused to cooperate with commands to place his arms behind his back.
Hale remains behind bars on 23,000 bond and he appears in court November 30th.
