Overton County has completed construction on a $90,000 playground facility in Hanging Limb. Overton County Executive Ben Danner said it’s something that community has never had before.
“We’ve paved a full basketball court and set basketball goals,” Danner said. “We’ve also got shelters, charcoal grills, tables, and a really big playground.”
The county received a grant from TDEC in 2014 to help construct the facility and it took several years to complete because of some set backs with the deed on the property.
The playground facility will be located on Water Tank Road in Crawford. An official ribbon cutting for the playground facility will take place next Tuesday at 11:00.
