Seven locations in Algood will host more than 500 quilts this weekend. The Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival officially began Thursday night with a preview dinner.
Organizer John Allen said hundreds will go through the doors of the seven locations Friday and Saturday.
“If you love quilts we’ve got one of the best quilt displays you’ll see all year long in Algood, it only costs $6 and that’s good for both days,” Allen said.
Allen said the festival adopted Rising Above Ministries this year. Thursday, the festival presented Rising Above with $2,800 and 12 quilts for their clients.
