UCEMC Plans Baxter Outage Next Week
Baxter residents will have a planned power outage next week. The outage will give the TVA time to replace equipment. The power will go out at 11 p.m. Sept. 30 and be out for up to 4 hours. While TVA is replacing equipment, UCEMC will do equipment maintenance. The outage may be postponed for weather.

Overton County Man Charged With Statutory Rape
Clay County Authorities have arrested a 24-year-old Overton County man for allegedly having inappropriate relations with a 15-year-old girl. Joshua T. Fraley of Hilham is charged with statutory rape. He’s also facing additional charges of solicitation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
