Electrical Issue Forces Pickett County Schools To Close
Pickett County schools closed early due to a power outage this morning. According to the schools system’s supervisor of instruction, students dismissed at 12:45 this afternoon. Schools officials hope to have the issue resolved by Friday morning.

Cookeville NAACP Holds Vigil Saturday
The Cookeville branch of the NAACP will hold a candelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Putnam County Courthouse.
