The Cumberland County Commission will hold a public hearing today for the upcoming fiscal year budget.
The proposed budget calls for raising the property tax rate from $1.5053 to $1.5653. Officials say the money will go towards renovations to Crab Orchard Elementary and Cumberland County High School.
The public hearing will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
