A semi caught fire on Interstate 40 in Putnam County today, shutting down the roadway.
Officials said the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 272.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has not released any details about the crash, which closed the eastbound lanes for several hours.
