A Putnam County lawyer’s law office has been suspended by the state Supreme Court.
Albert Fitzpatrick Officer III was ordered not to accept new clients and to stop representing existing clients by Aug. 11.
Officer was censured by the Supreme Court July 7. His license was suspended last fall for failure to pay the annual registration fee. He continued to represent clients in Putnam, Overton and Clay counties, including holding settlement negotiations in two divorce cases.
