The Sparta Board of Mayor and Aldermen passed their budget ordinances with no discussion Thursday.
City Administrator Chris Dorsey said the general fund budget was about $5.26 million.
Alderman Jerry Lowery cast the only vote against the general fund budget. At the last meeting, Lowery said he didn’t like the fact that funding for the city’s automatic electric metering was included.
