A 21-year-old DeKalb County resident will have to serve at least two more years behind bars.
A parole board has denied release for Jessica May, who is currently serving an eight-year sentence for attempted aggravated child neglect.
The sentence stems from the 2015 death of her 23-month-old son. Her fiancé, 25-year-old Cody Key, received a 45-year prison sentence after being convicted of killing the child.
May will have her case reviewed by another parole board in 2 years.
