A Crossville native has died after being stabbed in Chattanooga Sunday.
The body of 30-year-old Ashley Cates was discovered Sunday night inside her apartment complex. Authorites have charged 57-year-old Tyrone Murphy with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence.
Police said that Cates had just moved to the apartment and that Murphy was a neighbor. They apparently did not know each other.
