School officials have fired Warren County High School Baseball Coach Adam Childs. WCHS officials said they wanted to go in another direction with the baseball program. Childs leaves the program having won more than 100 games. He also lead Pioneers to one district championship, three region tournament appearances and one sub state appearance.

An elderly man reportedly committed suicide on Cookeville’s Winston Drive Monday. Cookeville Police declined to identify the man because his family hadn’t been notified yet. Scanner traffic indicated a home health care worker reported the man had been been shot. The man was deceased when police arrived.
