Authorities have identified a body found in Fentress County back in March as Ray Von Newman.
Newman reported missing by his family in January of 2005. At that time police located his truck near the Tinch Fork Bridge. An extensive search of that area found no sign of Newman.
His remains were discovered off of Banner Springs Road under a large rock back in March. The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office has informed the family of the positive identification.
